Christmas has come early for Star Wars fans, with Disney releasing details on a dozen new and upcoming movies and series set in the Star Wars universe.

Big news with Hayden Christensen set to return as Darth Vader and star alongside Ewan McGregor in the new Disney movie. Obi-Wan Kenobi Serie.

Fans got their first look at the Rogue One spin-off, starring Casian Andor.

The show, simply titled Andor, will see actor Diego Luna resume his role as a rebel soldier. Andor will begin streaming on Disney + in 2022.

Disney quietly mocked Taika Waititi’s (JoJo Rabbit, Thor: Ragnarok) feature film simply by confirming that it is in development and tweeting “Get ready for an unforgettable ride.” Waititi will direct and co-write the new film.

Lando Calrissian will return in what Disney has labeled a new “series of events,” country.

This new show is coming to Disney + and is being directed by Justin Simien (Dear White People).

It is not confirmed whether Donald Glover (Childish Gambino) or original actor Billy Dee Williams will reprise their roles as the character.

A history of droids, is an animated film from Lucas Animation coming to Disney + and featuring a new hero “guided by R2-D2 and C-3PO.”

There is no release date for this yet.

Republic Rangers is another series set during the same timeline as The Mandalorian, the exact details surrounding this one are unclear.

Fan favorite Ahsoka Tano, played by Rosario Dawson, will be getting her own spinoff series, the character recently featured in live action on The Mandalorian. The new series is titled Ahsoka.

We can expect at least one of these new shows for Christmas next year, says LucasFilm President Kathleen Kennedy.

Star Wars: The Bad Lot is another animated show in the style of the Clone Wars and Rebels series.

It’s apparently set between episodes 3 and 4 of the Skywalker saga and will feature the rise of the new Empire.

An anime-style show titled Visions is on its way, Disney says the show will “celebrate the galaxy through the lens of the world’s best Japanese anime creators.” Visions is scheduled for release next year.

Leslye Headland (Russian Doll, Sleeping with Other People) is directing another imminent show titled, The acolyte. Disney says this mystery thriller “will take viewers into a galaxy of dark secrets and emerging powers from the dark side in the waning days of the High Republic era.”

Patty Jenkins (Wonder Woman 1984) tweeted a video of her at an airfield revealing a new Rogue Squad The movie is in the works before jumping she jumped on an X-wing. This film is not expected to be released until Christmas 2023.

The Rian Johnson trilogy previously announced during the conference was not mentioned and rumors are running as to whether they will still go ahead.
