They were so certain that Exotic would be pardoned today that his legal team reportedly even had a limo waiting to pick him up from prison.

The Maldonado-Passage legal team leader told KOCO 5 that they were extremely confident of getting a presidential clemency and that the Netflix sensation had been positive.

“We have delivered everything I wanted to do on this project,” said Eric Love.

“I am absolutely sure that tomorrow we will receive the pardon. We are working very hard on it.”

“We have hair, makeup, wardrobes. Trust me, anything you can think of we have, including a doctor and also a mental health expert,” Love said.

A limousine had been on standby to pick up Maldonado-Passage from jail and transport him to safety.

“The most important thing about Joe is that he can’t wait to get out, as you can imagine, and he doesn’t want anyone to see him until he gets his hair done,” Love said.

“So the most important person tomorrow is hair, makeup and wardrobe.”

Even if Mr. Maldonado-Passage is granted a pardon, Mr. Love said the case is far from over.

“We’re going to win Joe’s freedom, but guess who we’re going to? Everyone responsible for setting Joe up,” Love said.
