Pop star Noa Kirel is still serving in the military, but is finding ways to promote her third English-language single, “Thought About That.”
She took to the stage last month at the recent Miss Universe pageant in Eilat, singing “Bad Little Thing” and at Sheba Medical Center one recent day, making a Tik Tok video with 12-year-old Aya Abecassis dancing and singing. with the cancer patient to “I thought about that.”
Kirel’s latest single was produced with a host of US songwriters, thanks to his deal with Atlantic Records, signed last summer.
It includes a very sci-fi inspired video, similar to “Dune”, showing Samsung’s new S21+ 5G, with Kirel in the center.
Kirel was cited by The Hollywood Reporter as Israel’s biggest pop star, and has been garnering a lot of worldwide attention with four MTV EMAs and serving as a judge on Israel’s Got Talent.
She’s also thinking about the kind of message she’s sending to young women her age and younger:
“I turned 20 this year and it’s so important that my music inspires young women to be independent and stand up for themselves,” she said in a statement, “especially in relationships.”
