Upon her arrival in Mexico, the United States Secretary of Energy, Jennifer Granholm, assured this Thursday morning that her government has pending issues regarding the electrical reform proposed by the president. Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador and it is discussed in the Mexican Congress, so he will address the issue both in his meeting with the Mexican president, later, and in the rest of his agenda of meetings in the country

After receiving a welcome from Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard, Granholm maintained that both countries will be “strong allies and great supporters of a strong North American economy,” although he has “some issues” related to energy reform and clean energy generation.



It should be remembered that on Friday morning, the rector of the energy policy of Mexico’s largest trading partner will hold a meeting to discuss the work of women in energy, in which the head of government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, along with the heads of Energy and Economy, Rocío Nahle and Luz María de la Mora. Subsequently, he will meet with specialized energy media to give his position on these issues.

In his Twitter account, the Secretary of Foreign Relations, Marcelo Ebrard, highlighted that the visit of this official is an opportunity to strengthen ties between both nations in terms of clean energy generation.
