The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) It has a tool that facilitates the payment of worker-employer fees, also including those of the Institute of the National Fund for Workers’ Housing (INFONAVIT). This is the Referenced Payment System (SIPARE), through which an alphanumeric capture line is obtained that can be used both in bank portals and at teller windows.
The objective pursued by the institute with this system is to simplify the payment process of worker-employer fees, making it simpler and safer, and among its benefits it highlights that the employer has a reliable system with which to validate their payment files, in addition to being able to consult all the capture lines that have been paid.
Previously, the platform used was the Single Self-Determination System (SUA) but banks no longer accept files generated with it, although employers can generate a SIPARE capture line by uploading a file with the .SUA ending.
What is SIPARE for?
“SIPARE was created in order to support companies, both micro and small ones as well as larger ones, being a tool that also benefits self-employed entrepreneurs, who can carry out procedures without having to go to the counter. of the bank”, they explain from the IMSS.
The employer may exercise his obligations from the online medium since the Referenced Payment System offers: Consult the current, paid or canceled capture lines; Select new SUA files to generate a new capture line; Review valid payment files; Consult information on contributions, loan repayments and accessories in the same place.
Regarding the question of how to obtain the format for the payment of employer-employee contributions and how to make the payment, the IMSS explains that SIPARE works through capture lines or folios that are obtained when the user accesses the service with internet.
How to pay IMSS fees online?
You can login to the system from IMSS website with username and password. In the event that you are not registered, you can do so on the institute’s portal in the “employers or companies” section, where you must then select the “Online services” option and click on SIPARE.
As in most online registrations, you must first enter the IMSS page to create the user and register in SIPARE, choosing the “Register new user” option.
Registration can be done in two ways:
- With the capture line that appears in the Bimonthly Emission payment proposal sent by the IMSS.
- Selecting a .SUA payment file in the system to correct and generate another capture line.
These same two registration options also appear for users who belong to the Social Security Incorporation Regime (RISS), who must click on the option “Register new RISS-type user” to start the process.
The IMSS explains that when registering, you must have an email account at hand, to which a confirmation of account activation will be sent, in addition to the key and password. If you already have a user but have forgotten your password, select the “Recover password” option.
Finally, you can go to some of the banks that accept the capture lines issued by SIPARE or through bank portals. These banks include: Afirme, BanBajío, Banorte, BBVA, Citibanamex, HSBC, Inbursa, Santander, Scotiabank, Banco Azteca, Banregio and Banca Mifel.
