Actor Wamiqa Gabbi talks about getting the chance to work with directors like Vishal Bhardwaj and Kabir Khan.
It was after three hectic months of shooting in a row that Wamiqa Gabbi contracted Covid-19, and she is grateful that she managed to get her job done just in time.
“It is so strange that I did not get covid for three months… I was working and coming home. I tested positive when I was done with my shoots and I was done with my shoots and I was home for six or seven days,” he says, adding, “There were separate medical sections on set. The crew was tested every day. They were very careful (to prevent the spread of the virus),” says the 28-year-old.
Gabbi adds, “I felt very safe while filming. I wasn’t multitasking, but focusing on one thing at a time. I was working on an OTT show and the movie Jufiya with Vishal Bhardwaj in Delhi. There is one more program that I can’t talk about right now. One is with Sakshi Tanwar.”
She recovered a few days ago and feels she was “privileged enough” not to have to think about basic needs. “Actually, by the time I recovered, I went back to work after two days,” Gabbi reports.
Recently seen at Kabir Khan’s ’83, and now working with Bhardwaj, the actor is grateful to have such opportunities.
“Couldn’t have asked for anything better than this. Every actor dreams of working with these legendary directors. I am so happy to be working with them at the beginning of my career, at the beginning stage. As for my career, the universe has given me a lot. I’m not really looking for anything right now to be honest. I am enjoying this moment of my life,” he says.
